Snowy Day

The air was cool and crisp today. The forecast projected snow and as I walked to campus, sure enough, it snowed! I always find it exciting when it snows in Texas, but today was even more so. Walking the streets to Starbucks, students hurried to class all around me and as it began to snow shouts of joy and smiles broke out from the students. It was an awesome, joyous moment! I was struck in the moment with the thought that the gospel brings infinitely more joy to people than snow in Texas. Seeing peoples face light up for snow cannot possibly measure up to emotions of a soul that has first tasted grace. The problem comes when we reflect on how well we share the gospel. Are we being agents of infinite joy? I encourage you to make it snow on your unbelieving friends!

Prayer Needed

I recently updated the “Prayer Needed” icon. I covet your prayers for my ministry and our church. We have many people who are close to accepting Jesus’ testimony, please ask for the Spirit to continue to draw them in. Also, as 2009 comes to a close we are beginning to plan for 2010. It is a very exciting time in our church because God has given us much influence in the city of Austin. Please ask that the Spirit would lead us in our planning for next year. Ask that we would be faithful stewards of what he has entrusted to us and that we would be a people who bring glory to his name. Thank you for laboring with me in prayer while we build the Kingdom of God!
